Thanks for stopping by my blog. Here is some basic information about me.

I am a retired officer from the U.S. Air Force and following the Air Force, I set up a mortgage brokerage business and did that for a few years. I retired in 2001 and I currently live in the Philippines with my beautiful bride of 30 + years. We travel a lot and enjoy the creations of our God.

I started building web sites/blogs about 3 years ago and decided that I liked it because it gave me a purpose instead of just playing golf or watching TV. I currently have 11 blogs on different subjects. I create blogs on subjects that are interesting to me and in doing the research, I learn a few new things as well. I am currently completing a course on how to build “web sites” instead of blogs. The learning never stops.

This particular blog is just a personal blog to put down a few of my thoughts on what I see in the daily news. Most of the news, at least to me, is very depressing these days. We have a government that doesn’t function, a country that is in decline, and socialism on the horizon. Some times, it makes me happy that I don’t live in the U.S. anymore, but I pray that a turn around will come in 2012 elections as was started in 2010. We need strong leaders who have the country’s best interest at heart and not their own personal gain and quest for power, regardless of their party.

When one has fought for their country, it’s difficult to watch the decline.
